The basic raw material for the production of clips is aluminum wire. The highest quality wire should have a cross-section stability (diameter), an adequate tensile strength, density and physico-chemical properties. These are closely related to the chemical composition of aluminum itself.
CLIPSAR® sausage clips are made of best quality aluminum wire in which the content of pure aluminum oscillates in the range of 99.6% – 99.75%. The composition and proportions of the other elements in the aluminum alloy is our company’s secret. These factors often determine the specific properties such as durability, resistance to slipping from the casing and the desired plasticity of the clip itself
If the clip is not properly closed, the risk of loss increases at the stage of clipping and in the heat treatment process. At the same time, the sausage shelf life may be shortened, especially for barrier packaging because tightly closed clip is the last barrier to oxygen.

Another important parameter for hygiene and safety of sausage production is the cleanliness of the clip coating. Excessive dusting of the aluminum wire contaminates its surface. This is the most common cause of machine damage and failure, and consequently it leads to costly repairs.
